We believe we have reached a point where we are now poised to find answers to preventing scarring where our basic research has pointed the way. There are millions of past and present burn and scar victims around the world who are set to benefit from Restore’s research
 
The people behind Restore are a small group of dedicated professionals, working to tight budgets, whose successes, and internationally recognised results, have been achived on very tight budgets. Our organizational and administrative costs are kept to a minimum and money we have raised in the past has been wisely invested. The income generated has allowed us to fund two research fellows each year since 1991. As our research progresses the rising costs of medical research is putting a strain on our limited resources. Our current target is to raise £500,000 to develop and establish a human tissue engineering institute as well as to fund our Fellows over the next five years.
 
We receive no government funding and rely entirely on the good will of the public. By giving to us,you will know your money is very well spent and as a consequence your personal contribution may have lasting significance.

How you can make a difference: 

With your help we can build on the momentum of Restore as a major contributor in the growing international community of biomedical scientists who believe that solving the “scarring problem” is within our grasp, an achievement which, if realised, will bring enormous benefit to humanity. Without your support, we would not be able to continue our research programme into burns and wounds. This research is expensive because of the specialised skills and equipment we need. Restore's part-time non-medical  staff are all volunteers - our running costs are among the lowest of any charity as a percentage of expenditure. We spend very little money on administration and fund-raising as we believe that our funds are best devoted to furthering research.
